To upgrade your computer to MacOS Monterey, please follow the instructions below. Make sure that all critical files stored on your computer have been saved into your Google Drive prior to beginning the upgrade.
Note: Please allow installation to complete without putting your Mac to sleep or closing its lid (be sure that it is plugged in). During installation, it might restart and show a progress bar or blank screen several times. You might find it easiest to begin installation in the evening so that it can complete overnight, if needed
Click on the Apple Menu on the top left side of the screen
Select System Preferences
After selecting System Preferences, select Software Update
Select Upgrade Now
Note: If MacOS Monterey is not displayed next to Upgrade Now, Select More info.. Under Other Updates are Available.
Once downloaded, you will be prompted to install the update. Click continue and follow the onscreen instructions
Note: printing will be disabled after the upgrade please reinstall papercut here: https://help.bhmsny.org/kb/article/95-installing-print-deploy/
The re-installation of papercut can ONLY be done while at school.
